History(歴史)
Budo(武道) is the generic Japanese term for any form of Japanese martial
arts. Etymologically speaking, ‘Bu’ means ‘war’ while ‘Do’ means a ‘way’,
thereby the term when literally translated would mean “way of war”. However, in
the Japanese context it means a disciplined “way of life”. Modern Budo believes
in the philosophy that the only adversary that a man has is his own ego, and
that is what needs to be combated through the practice of Budo. Budo is a bushido. Budo is a samurai culture Nowadays budo slowly
become a sports like judo and sports karate. When judo become Olympic sports
judo slowly forgets the way of budo and change a lot and become sports. Karate
also same they change a lot. If it continue may be budo only on history and
book So we need to teach the real budo to everyone why we need to study budo
what is a moral of budo . when we practice
budo start form re ( bow ) and end on re ( bow ) there is two type of
bow tate re(standing bow ) or seza re( seated bow ) commonly seen in budo now was devised.
When training in budo practitioners must always act with respect and courtesy,
adhere to the prescribed fundamentals of the art , and resisit the temptation
to pursue mere technical skill than towards the perfect unity of mind , body
,and technique .through physical and mental training in the Japanese martial
arts ways ,budo exponents seek to build their character enhance their sense of judgments
, and become disciplined individuals capable of making contributions to society
at large .
Training(Keiko稽古)
When training(Keiko) in dojo(道場) , practitioners must always act with respect and courtesy , adhere
to the prescribed fundamentals of the arts , and resist the temptation to
pursue mere technical skill rather then strive towards the perfect unity of mind
, body, and technique .
Competition(Shiai試合)
Whether competing in a match or during set
form ( kata形 ) ,
exponents must externalize the spirit underlying budo . they must do their best
at all times , winning with modesty , accepting defeat gracefully , and
constantly exhibiting self control
Dojo(道場)
The dojo is a special place for training
the mind and body in the dojo budo practitioners must maintain discipline the
dojo should be a quiet, clean, safe, and solemn environment.
Teacher(Sensei先生)
Teachers (sensei) should know history of
budo. always encourage others to also
strive to better themselves and diligently train their minds and bodies, while
continuing to further their understanding of the technical principles of budo. teachers
(sensei) should not allow focus to be put on winning or
losing in competition or on technical ability alone .above all teachers (sensei)
have a responsibility to set example as role models.
Summary(要約)
Deeply on budo(武道) traditional peculiarities
before Person promoting budo must maintain an open minded and international
perspective as they uphold traditional values. They should make efforts to
contribute to research and teaching and do their utmost to advance budo in
every way. It is important to reflectonsidering its internationalization there
is new a need for further academic studies and renewed teaching methodologies.
