「 国民の教養レベル」被害のない人たちは、必死で救援活動をしている自衛隊をわき目で見て"パチンコ"に行っていた！

「 国民の教養レベル」　これは、親の教養レベルと言って過言ではないと思う。

　建国記念日で多くの自衛隊関係者・隊友の会の人とお話する機会を持った。そのなかで大震災救援で気仙沼に派遣され校庭に泊まり自給自足で救援に当たったが区域が違うだけで被害のない人たちは、必死で救援活動をしている自衛隊をわき目で見て"パチンコ"に行っていた！　

　　　　これは、もはや日本国民の教養・道徳・精神の低さしかない！と嘆いていた。

"The education and level of the nation's people" - I think it's no exaggeration to say that this refers to the education level of the parents.

On National Foundation Day, I had the opportunity to speak with many people connected to the Self-Defense Forces and members of the SDF veterans' association. Among them were people who were sent to Kesennuma to help with the earthquake relief efforts, staying in a schoolyard and providing self-sufficient relief, but who were in a different area but were not affected by the disaster, and went off to play pachinko while looking away from the Self-Defense Forces desperately working on relief efforts!

This just goes to show the low level of education, morals, and spirit of the Japanese people! They lamented.

嘉納治五郎先生は、大日本体育会設立趣意書に

「国の盛衰は、国民の精神が充実しているか否かによる。国民の精神の充実度は国民の体力に大きく関係する。そして、国民の体力は国民一人ひとり及び関係する機関・団体等が体育（スポーツ）に関して、その重要性をどのように認識しているかによる。・・・・」としている。

　今、果たして武道に関係する機関・団体等が武道に関してその重要性を日本国のみならず世界に与えるかを認識しているかはなはだ疑問である。

　これは、家庭教育においては、親の教養レベルによるものが大である。

In his statement of purpose for establishing the Dai Nippon Taiiku Kai, Kano Jigoro wrote, "The rise and fall of a nation depends on whether or not its people are spiritually fulfilled. The spiritual fulfillment of its people is closely related to their physical strength. And the physical strength of its people depends on how each individual citizen and the related institutions and organizations perceive the importance of physical education (sports)..."

It is highly questionable whether the institutions and organizations related to Budo are currently aware of the importance of martial arts not only to Japan but to the world.

This is largely due to the educational level of the parents when it comes to home education.
