今日のテーマは「吉田松陰寅次郎」
師たるものは、多くの経験と知識がなくてはなりません。卒業式も終わりここにも中学生になる子もいます。中学生は、目覚めようとするとても大切な時です。目覚めるがゆえに親に不満を持ち”反抗期”に陥ります。こうやって親子で稽古し己を高めようとしている親子に反抗期は、ありません。子供は、よく見ているからです。
吉田松陰は、親は、長州藩の兵学師範の家柄で江戸後期の教育者、学者でした。松下村塾という地域スクールで身分の隔てなく明治維新で活躍する伊藤博文（初代総理大臣）や高杉晋作（奇兵隊創設者）山形有朋（3代、9代総理大臣）久坂玄瑞など育てました。
訓えには「夢なき者に成功なし」「学問とは、人間はいかに生きていくべきかを学ぶものだ」「最後まで踏ん張れなかった人は、どれだけずば抜けた才能や技術があったとしても、私は尊敬できません」「物事を成就させる方法はただひとつ。それは”覚悟すること” などがあります。
わが国には、この様な立派な先生が沢山います。その先生の教えを知り守る事が中学生
の皆さんにとても大切な事です。

Today's theme is "Yoshida Shoin Toraziro".
A teacher must have a lot of experience and knowledge. Graduation ceremonies are over and some of the children here will be entering junior high school. Junior high school is a very important time when children try to awaken. As they awaken, they become dissatisfied with their parents and fall into a "rebellious phase". Parents and children who practice together like this and try to improve themselves do not go through a rebellious phase. This is because children are watching closely.
Yoshida Shoin's parents were from a family of military science instructors in the Choshu domain and were educators and scholars in the late Edo period. At a local school called Shoka Sonjuku, he raised people of all social classes who played an active role in the Meiji Restoration, including Ito Hirobumi (the first Prime Minister), Takasugi Shinsaku (founder of the Kiheitai), Yamagata Aritomo (the 3rd and 9th Prime Ministers), and Kusaka Genzui.
Some of the teachings include "There is no success without dreams," "Education is a way for humans to learn how they should live their lives," "I cannot respect people who do not persevere to the end, no matter how outstanding their talent or skill," and "There is only one way to accomplish something, and that is to be "prepared." There are many such excellent teachers in our country. It is very important for junior high school students to know and follow their teachers' teachings.
